Photo exhibition “tentoonStelling” still on display on Pampus
During the 2015 season there was an important photo exhibition on Pampus, the “tentoonStelling”. More than 40 fortress and batteries which make up the Defense Line of Amsterdam are displayed on enlarged photos in the dry moat. During the exhibition Fort Island Pampus published a (Dutch) photo book ‘De Stelling van Amsterdam in vogelvlucht’. This book is available for €9,90 in the souvenir shop or during the winter by mail via email@example.com. The book is also available via www.stelling-amsterdam.nl
Fort Island Pampus is the visitors centre for the Defense Line of Amsterdam and with this photo exhibition brings the defense line into picture in a new way. During a walk around the dry moat the visitor will be presented with the complete Defense Line. The book contains the same series of pictures with explanations, history and what the fortresses are now used for. Photographers René Ros and Otto Bodemeijer made thousands of airial photos during 2014 and 2015, the best ones are on display.
The exhibition on Pampus will be, due to the great amount of interest by the visitors, extended this season from 1st April until 30th October.
The ‘tentoonStelling’ and publications were made possible by Provincie Noord-Holland, projectbureau Stelling van Amsterdam.
